C.S. Lewis said “To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.” I love that. As a Christian, I will be the very first to say. I'm NOT perfect. I'm far from it... but I don't need to be perfect. Nobody will be perfect... it's not going to happen. We are all imperfect humans... but that's OK. We're not EXPECTED to be perfect. We're actually expected to understand that we're not perfect and accept that. We can ask for forgiveness as often as we need to. We will hopefully learn as we go to become a better person along the path, but even in the end... we will fall short of perfection! We can confess our imperfections and ask for forgiveness, but we will never be perfect!
