Erik told me that his mother said this to him quite often when he was growing up. Erik... your mom is wise! Do you find happiness? Sometimes it's tough. I've been there. I recently had a comedy event that I thought would be well attended, but in reality the turn out was smaller than I expected. The people hosting the event were happy with the crowd size. I made sure to give it my all! I was at a different show where the comedian was downright RUDE because there was a small crowd. But these people paid to see you... and they DID show up!
